Besançon. Municipal council: an amending decision of €800,000 should enliven the political start

Amounting €800,000, this amending decision (DM2), the second of the year, “represents and confirms responsible management. It will make it possible to bring the budget into line with the reality of the 2026 financial year and it reflects the maintenance of daily public services,” according to Fabrice Taillard, deputy in charge of Finance. Concretely, it represents in particular the acquisition of a new sweeper, the renewal of vehicles and municipal equipment, the maintenance of public spaces, the strengthening of reception capacities in school restaurants or even the replacement of a compressor in the central kitchen.
Security is not left out with €95,000 provided for the redevelopment of the shooting areas at Fort Chaudanne or €17,000 to secure demonstrations as part of the Vigipirate plan.
€600,000 for the rue Jacquard ecocenter
“We had a space that was used to dump all kinds of rubble, earthworks, etc. Everything was stored in a space which absolutely did not comply with what we impose on companies,” laments Pascal Orlandi, deputy in charge of Infrastructure. The objective is therefore to “bring into compliance the site on which asbestos, runoff, etc. will be treated.” » A site near the metropolitan technical center which will be closed and dedicated to municipal services.
Support for the association Solidarité Femmes Besançon
This Thursday, municipal elected officials should vote for financial aid of €7,350 in favor of the association. “This meets 100% of the requests made by the association,” specifies Manon Monnier, municipal councilor responsible for women’s rights. €4,350 is for the reception, listening and guidance center and €3,000 is dedicated to the day reception located in the Women’s House.
New video surveillance cameras
Campaign commitment, the installation of 30 new video protection cameras will be done gradually during the mandate. The first wave is being deployed and concerns Churchill Boulevard, Rembrandt Street, Goya Street and Champagne Street.
Membership of the National Federation of Local Authorities for Culture (FNCC)
By joining this structure, Anne-Rachel Schertz, Deputy for Culture, has the ambition to “enable our city to better make its voice heard at the national level and to promote what is being done here. Cultural policy must open up, exchange and evolve.” This is the first time that the City has joined this network.
