Billy Ray Cyrus and Elizabeth Hurley are engaged
No more heartbreak for Billy Ray Cyrus!
The country singer popped the question to his girlfriend Elizabeth Hurley, sources confirmed to Page Six.
Cyrus, 65, and Hurley, 61, have been dating for over a year and are now making it official after the English actress and model was spotted showing off a huge diamond.
Another source told Page Six, “She’s filming ‘The ‘Burbs’; I don’t think that ring is a prop.”
The “Hannah Montana” alum, meanwhile, gave a huge hint about their future plans by posting a cryptic ring emoji in an Instagram post shared on Thursday — which was liked with a celebratory emoji by Hurley’s son, Damian.
“This is the most fertile solid ground I’ve been on in a long time,” Cyrus wrote in her post.
While promoting his new single “Party’s in the Back” with Deltona, he added, “I love seeing people’s dreams come true. I’m so excited for this weekend’s show teaming up with NASCAR in Phoenix!!! Sounds kinda 💍.”
This will be a fourth marriage for Cyrus, who has six children, including her superstar daughter Miley Cyrus. He was married to Cindy Smith from 1986 to 1991 and to Tish Cyrus from 1993 to 2023, the same year he married Firerose. Their union ended in 2024, with the Australian singer accusing her of abuse, which he denied.
Hurley, meanwhile, was in a long-term relationship with actor Hugh Grant from 1987 to 2000, before having son Damian with the late producer Steve Bing.
The “Bedazzled” star went on to marry Indian businessman Arun Nayar in 2007, but they divorced in 2011, and she was later engaged to the late Australian cricketer Shane Warne from 2011 until their separation in 2013.
A representative for Billy Ray Cyrus could not be reached for comment.
Cyrus and Hurley went public with their relationship on Easter Sunday 2025 after first meeting on the set of the 2022 holiday film “Christmas in Paradise” and reconnecting in February 2025.
Although their romance raised eyebrows, Hurley told the “SheerLuxe” podcast earlier this month, “There are a lot more similarities than you think.” »
“We have the same hair. Identical hair. Besides his beard, we’re actually like twins,” she joked.
Although Hurley acknowledged that they were an “unlikely couple in some ways,” she admitted that they had “pretty similar lives” and aligned in many ways.
Speaking to Page Six in May, Hurley shared that she and Cyrus bonded over their love of country living rather than city life.
“Oddly enough, (Billy’s) farm in Tennessee is very similar to my farm here in Gloucestershire, so in a way it seems normal,” she explained.
The “Royals” actress told People in June that their time together in the country was often spent with Hurley using power tools in the backyard and Cyrus strumming his guitar under a tree.
“We obsessively watch birds of prey and light lots of bonfires,” she said. “It’s happiness.”
Cyrus told the magazine: “There was something about us, I think, that maybe not only caught other people’s attention, but ours as well. »
“And I’ve never seen anyone who, in some way, had more in common with the madness that I experienced in this crazy show business,” he added. “Then mix in other good things and personal tragedies – she’s just like me.”
