There’s a lot of talk about how good Romero looks at his age, but Till also looks spectacular. He’s had a second wind in his career since leaving the UFC, and BKFC could be an extraordinary choice. He and Romero spend the first 30 seconds feeling each other out. Not much landing as they look to find distance. Romero goes so low it’s like he’s going for a takedown. Till lands the first significant punch – a straight left from the southpaw stance. Romero advances. They cling to the ropes. The referee separates them. And we are feeling each other again. Mainly telemetry action.

It was a very good advertisement for BKFC. They must continue to return to Britain.

Nothing to do in the first 30 seconds but Cullen then turns Mundell around after catching him with the three-punch combo. He sends a big left hand to Mundell’s face! It’s huge! Mundell slips, is on the ground, but the ref waves him on. Mundell loses his title at this rate! I didn’t believe it could happen tonight! The champion catches Cullen with the left of his hand, then punches his stomach while clinching. There are 30 seconds left. Mundell needs to land something big! This is Cullen’s fight to lose! I think he did it! The championship changes hands!!!

Cullen really came to life over time. And all because of the snow showers. He has to keep throwing. Forget one-shots. Pap-pap-pap. Three-hit combos, baby. For Mundell, it’s all about working inside and pushing him to the ropes. This final round will depend on who asserts their game plan more often than the other. Right now, it’s Cullen! He lands HUGE hooks! This is some juicy boxing from Cullen!

Round 5: 47-47

Cullen with a one-two-three in the fourth round. He must win both rounds for the draw, on the Uncrowned map, and a knockdown to win. Must be perfect. It started off pretty well here. Swelling under Mundell’s eye. The key was throwing bursts of three punches. Something he didn’t do enough of in the first few rounds. Mundell presses him against the ropes but the referee separates them. Cullen lands! This is considered a slip of the tongue. Cullen has clear momentum here and is headed for another round in the books here. Is the return here?!? Phew. Big right hand from Mundell.

Round 4: 38-37 – Mundell

Some big left hands at the start of the third round for Mundell. Cullen is behind but boxing better and landing punches. Welcome back.

Round 3: 29-27 – Mundell

Mundell comes in and throws shots to either side of the head. This is where Mundell does some big work, pressing him against the ropes and Cullen goes down with a left hook! Brilliant strategic fight from the champ so far. Cullen slams Mundell as he tries to sneak inside. Mundell with a HUGE right hand as he goes inside. Cullen changed position. Orthodox now. Cullen ties up Mundell’s legs and he holds on. It’s a breathtaking chess match compared to the brawls we witnessed all night. Big left backhand AGAIN from Mundell! It’s a signature shot and he should keep throwing it.

Round 2: 20-17 – Mundell

From the opening bell, there is a clear difference in size between Cullen, the challenger, and Mundell, the champion. As Cullen has extraordinary size on the middleweight king. Mundell looks to negate this by rushing Cullen and swarming him inside, to avoid the headbutt. Mundell throws a left and pushes Cullen against the ropes. Very cerebral opening. Cullen is nowhere near as active as Mundell, but he has one strike against him. And he cracks Mundell with the two by throwing the one-two! THIS IS THE shot he should throw the most! Let’s see more shots from the jab. Get that left-handed right shot. There’s not much but I prefer Mundell.

Bygraves told his corner that he couldn’t see out of one eye. So what is everyone doing to send him back there? He tells everyone he doesn’t want to continue. But the fight continues! Bygraves always goes there! He has fire in his heart but Corran has this guy in his! Corran puts him down AGAIN! And now Bygraves stays down! He is flat on his back, breathing heavily. He shouldn’t have even answered. And Corran gestures toward the camera with a bloodied face, cuts everywhere, looking like sane people’s nightmares. WHAT A SPORT. 😂

Corran wins skillfully in the second round and hits him on either side of the ribs. Corran drops him and Bygraves is EXHAUSTED during the mandatory eight count. Corran immediately attacks his midsection and DOWN GOES BYGRAVES! He complains but it counts and it’s now a 10-7 round! What a huge innings for Corran! But Bygraves won’t stop swinging! He’s still looking to deal damage, but Corran’s body shots are next level. These ribs must be bruised. Bygraves was beaten. He doesn’t even go to his corner. He’s in BIG trouble! Call the fight! He’s finished!

Bygraves is fast. Corran is a beast inside. Bygraves moves around Corran’s guard. Oh! And Corran unbalances Bygraves at the end! Wow! This doesn’t negate Bygraves’ quality work, especially with the damage he caused.

Former BFBA champion Gaz Corran (2-0) takes on undefeated Mac Bygraves (3-0) for the inaugural BKFC UK middleweight championship.

Both fighters put their perfect records on the line at BKFC in Manchester, with the winner becoming the division’s first national champion.
