President Trump arrives at Neyland Stadium in spectacular fashion for today’s game between Tennessee and Texas.
Donald Trump arrived in Tennessee for the biggest college football game of the day and, to the surprise of almost no one, the crowd at Neyland Stadium went crazy as the Air Force I flew over the stadium.
The president arrived in Knoxville about 40 minutes before kickoff for today’s marquee showdown between the Vols and No. 1 Texas. This is the first meeting between the two schools since the Cotton Bowl in 1969. Tennessee comes in at No. 14 in the nation, while the Longhorns are No. 1 and two weeks away from an upset of Ohio State.

But it was in Austin. Today’s game takes place in Knoxville, with everyone’s eyes, including the president, on them.

Oddly enough, the only place he might have encountered boos would have been Austin. Look at what the College GameDay crowd did to Ted Cruz two weeks ago.

But Knoxville is different. Tennessee is a different animal. Fans were asked to get to the stadium a few hours before today’s noon kickoff due to increased security, and they listened.
