Brandi Glanville to get ‘facelifted’ for ‘power wash’ under skin
Brandi Glanville is preparing to have her “face removed” this week amid her ongoing battle with facial disfigurement.
The “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” alum revealed the “good news” on Thursday’s episode of her podcast “Brandi Glanville Unfiltered,” saying she would undergo the drastic procedure on Friday.
“Dr. Carlo Henrado is removing my face on Friday and is going to have exploratory surgery to kind of do a powerful wash under my skin,” Glanville, 53, told his co-host, James Maas.
She said the doctor identified two distinct spots under her skin that he thought could be “fungal balls or something alive.”
“Personally, I think he is alive because he moves when he wants,” she added.
Glanville went on to explain that Henrado came “highly recommended” and agreed to perform the procedure for the amount covered by insurance, plus an additional $5,000.
“But I’m OK with that. He says, ‘If I can cut off the head of the beast, of the serpent, then we can get the other things,'” she continued.
The former model admitted she was “super excited” but also “scared to death” because she “had never had facial surgery.”
She noted that a woman she knows had recently undergone a facelift, but said her own procedure was different and “more intensive,” according to her doctor.
“He literally goes in there with a power washer, basically, and knives and stuff. And then he spins my blood and does this platelet thing inside my face,” Glanville explained before joking, “We might not want my blood at this point.”
Last month, Glanville revealed that he had been diagnosed with several illnesses after years of unexplained health problems, including “highly resistant ESBL, Klebsiella and Enterobacter with biofilm, coccidioidomycosis (valley fever), Demodex dermatitis and mononucleosis.”
She also previously revealed that she had a fungal bump on her face that she was preparing to have surgically removed.
The reality star shared footage from an ultrasound on Instagram in early September, saying her doctors “saw something alive” and “moving” under the skin on her face.
“If I can’t find a doctor to remove this face, I’m going to do it myself,” she told Reel at the time.
Glanville initially blamed Bravo for his facial disfigurement in 2024, later saying that doctors suspected a “parasite jumping around (his) face”, while others attributed his symptoms to “stress-induced edema”.
In February, she instead blamed her ongoing health problems on her 20-year-old breast implants — which she said had “ruptured” and “leaked silicone into her lymph nodes.”
Glanville later revealed that he had been diagnosed with a benign facial tumor “in one of (his) lymph nodes in (his) face”.
