Cam Skattebo felt something in his hamstring during his last race in overtime
The Giants have a bye in Week 8 and that could be good news for running back Cam Skattebo.
Skattebo helped set up Devin Singletary’s game-winning touchdown run in overtime with a 42-yard jaunt through the Texans defense. It was the longest run of his career and it looked like he could have gained even more yards, but he stopped at the Houston 30-yard line.
It looked like Skattebo did it on purpose, but he told ESPN’s Dan Graziano that he fell because he felt something in his hamstrings.
Skattebo will have a few weeks to heal before the Giants return for a Week 9 trip to Philadelphia and the team hopes he will be back at full strength as they try to maintain their lead in the NFC East.
