CD Projekt Red says it’s working on patches for Witcher 3 Remastered

Geralt returned in The Witcher 3 Remastered earlier this week, and while the remaster is playable, various issues have been identified across all platforms.
CD Projekt Red has already fixed some launch bugs on other platforms, and as with the Switch 2 version, players can apparently expect an update for the Nintendo version at some point in the future.
YouTube channel SwitchUp has been in contact with CDPR and has been informed that fixes are being made to address specific issues, such as “blurry” visuals in handheld mode. Don’t expect an issue to be fixed immediately, as any fixes will still need to go through the usual approval process, and the team is likely “overwhelmed” with bug reports at the moment.
“It’s not sharp on handheld, but it looks nice – very vibrant, it’s blurry, but they’ll patch it, I’m talking with CDPR.
“Just to temper expectations, I haven’t gotten an answer from my guy yet on how hard they’re tackling handhelds. My guess is they’re swamped with bugs and issues to fix and they’ll get to it when they can. Add to that the fact that Nintendo is taking a while to approve patches, I think we’ll be waiting at least a few weeks for the next one.”
Marcin Momot, CDPR’s director of global community and social media, also weighed in, highlighting how the team is looking to address the “bloom effect” on “all platforms” and hopes to have the changes ready by the “next update.” Here’s what he had to say:
CDPR: “We’re looking to address the Bloom Effect across all platforms. We hope to have the changes ready for the next update, but we don’t have any details yet. We’ll share more as soon as possible.”
CDPR Witcher 3 quest designer Pawel Sasko reiterated this and said “work is in progress” as the team monitors player reports:
Pawel Sasko: “My dear witchers, we have delivered two patches for The Witcher 3 Remastered and more are in the works, including the Bloom effect. Our teams are diligently monitoring your reports and the work is underway. You are our priority.”
So if you’re experiencing any bugs or issues with the Switch 2 version of this remaster, be on the lookout for an update in the near future. As mentioned by Sasko, CDPR has already rolled out a patch and fix for other platforms. These fixed saving and loading issues, audio issues, adjusted the game’s lighting, and fixed various bugs.
If you didn’t already know, The Witcher 3 Remastered is a free upgrade for existing Switch owners. For new players, it will cost you $59.99 / £45.99.
