Fiona, the daughter of Chad Lowe and Kim Painter, has died, her family announced Tuesday. She was 13 years old.
In a statement shared with Peopleher family wrote: “We are deeply heartbroken at the loss of our beloved Fiona. She was a loving, intelligent, creative young girl who loved to dance. She was adored by her sisters and deeply loved by her parents. In fact, she was the light of our lives.”
“His passing is devastating for our entire family and we ask for prayers and privacy at this time. If you or someone you know is struggling with mental health issues, please contact the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline by calling or texting 988,” the statement concluded.
Lowe — the younger brother of actor Rob Lowe and best known for his Emmy-winning role as Jesse McKenna in Life goes on – and Painter welcomed Fiona, their second child, on November 16, 2012. The couple, who married in 2019, had their first daughter, Mabel, in 2009 and their third child, Nixie, in 2016.
THE Pretty little liarThe former student regularly celebrates his wife and children on social media. Last year, he posted a photo of Fiona for her birthday. “Celebrating Fiona officially becoming a teenager today!!” Lowe wrote in the caption of the November 2025 post. “Keep dancing your way through life FiBear! I love you so much!!
He also previously shared a photo in February 2025 of his three daughters, arms around each other, as they contemplate the aftermath of their Los Angeles home that was destroyed in the Palisades fire the month before.
Lowe, who has appeared in dozens of projects, is best known for his roles in Life goes on, Pretty little liars, Melrose Square, 24, Supergirl And 9-1-1: Lone Star. As for Painter, she is a film and television producer.
