Satisfying DLC core values will introduce cave constraints through new subterranean biomes
Students of philosophy and mathematics might wonder if adding to infinity would make it bigger, but that didn’t stop it. Satisfying‘s first DLC, Core Values, aims to expand the factory building game’s already near-infinite progress toward optimization and efficiency.
Announced during the Big Break Showcase, Satisfactory Core Values is described as a “major expansion” that promises new biomes, new buildings, a new storyline, and additional creatures, including a cute alien cat that appears to have swapped one eye for extra ears. Interestingly, expansion comes with major, intentional constraints.

By opening the purview of FICSIT pioneers to subterranean activities, Core Values will send players into the deep (but not entirely dark) depths of caverns beneath the planet’s crust. We can only hope that new life forms and the new resources they contain are willing to be optimized and exploited in stone-clad factories. Fortunately, it doesn’t seem like any powerful monsters are hiding underneath.
The DLC also promises to introduce new buildings and tools that will allow players to harvest resources in the rugged terrain. However, the biggest challenge for the pioneers will probably be the development of the underground terrain. The underground caverns, you see, have rather hard and rocky boundaries. With the landscape acting as a tighter constraint, there will likely be little room for the possible sprawling factory lines above ground. Even more efficiency, you say? It would not be satisfactory if that was not the objective.
There’s no release date yet for Satisfactory’s Core Values DLC, but anyone wanting to jump in as soon as it arrives will need to have reached level 3 of the HUB Research after building the Space Elevator. Coffee Stain Studios promises that while the DLC will be a separate area, it will be possible to switch between the core values and the main story at will, meaning you don’t need to commit to the new content all at once. The DLC reveal also doesn’t mean the end of support for old classic Satisfactories.
“As development of the ‘Core Values’ DLC continues, the base game will continue to receive regular updates improving the player experience across all platforms,” notes the accompanying press release.

Nor were core values the only good news. There is also a Satisfactory board game in the works by MOOD Publishing. Players will compete to optimize their own engines and win the coveted Employee of the Month title. Satisfactory: The board game should be launched on the Gamefound financing platform in 2026.
Those waiting for the Satisfactory Core Values expansion to arrive may still find themselves stuck with whatever was added in the game’s 1.2 update earlier this year, which brought plenty of excuses to spend dozens of hours restructuring your inevitably megalithic base.
