Chris Hemsworth is a proud father after his teenage daughter beat all the boys in a bull riding competition.
The Australian actor boasted about his little champion in a new Instagram post showing India, 14, riding a bull for an impressive nine seconds before being thrown off.
But his colossal efforts were enough to secure victory – also in a competition reserved for boys.
“I just want to say my daughter is a savage,” Hemsworth captioned the video. “Only girl in the competition and she won. Proud moment.”
Indiana was in his element in the video posted by his father. After an announcer introduced her, she burst into the ring as she rode the wild bull while spectators watched and cheered behind the fence.
In another video taken before the finale, Hemsworth could be heard extolling his daughter, proving that he was her biggest cheerleader of all.
“There she is, champion bull rider,” he said in the second clip. “How are you feeling, India? Are you going to last? Seven seconds?”
“Seven? Why Seven?” she replied. “You have to stay eight hours”
The “Thor” The star jokingly added: “Eight seconds, what do I know?”
While India visibly cringed in the video, many Hemsworth fans commented that dad jokes never work, even if you’re a big Hollywood star.
“What a little legend. Imagine being Chris Hemsworth and still not being cool enough for your teenage daughter, it’s relatable,” one commented on Instagram, while another wrote: “I love the embarrassing dad moment.”
India may be the only girl in the family — Hemsworth and his wife, actress Elsa Pataky, also share twins, Sasha and Tristan, 12 — but the teen can more than keep up with her brothers.
Not only can she tame a wild bull, but she’s also an expert dirt bike rider.
Last November, Hemsworth shared Instagram photos and videos of India riding his dirt bike, zooming before jumping over a large hill.
“My daughter absolutely sent this last weekend!” he captioned the post.
While there was much praise for India’s adventurous side in Hemsworth’s recent article on bull riding, with one commenting: “The God of Thunder has raised a true warrior…! Like father. like daughter..!!” – some were quick to denounce the dangers and cruelty behind the sport.
“How is this still a sport. Animal cruelty should not be praised and promoted like this,” one wrote in the comments, while another echoed: “This is not acceptable, this is real animal abuse disguised as entertainment.”
“Using animals for entertainment has never been cool and never will be. Do better,” wrote another, with one adding: “We love you so much Chris, but let’s not normalize animal cruelty and abuse.”
