Christopher Ward brings back a modern classic, with serious improvements
The dial retains the same basic design with a single minute hand, a jumping hour window at 12 o’clock and a minute track surrounding a guilloche center, but everything has been raised.
The needle changes from a flat black foil design to a faceted alpha needle with blue PVD coating. The “spider web” guilloche pattern is deeper and finer, with a rhodium-plated silver color instead of matte white. The brand logo plaque has also been removed from the center of the dial for a cleaner look.

The very simple Roman numerals on the hour disc have been updated with a custom serif font, and the disc itself is a crisp white, contrasting with the silver dial instead of matching the tones. The timer has been reduced and streamlined, and the sapphire crystal is now box-shaped with an anti-reflective coating.
Internally, the watch still features the JJ01 jumping hour module, but it is now mated to a Sellita SW200-1 automatic in place of the original ETA 2824-2, as CW moved from ETA to Sellita as the primary supplier of Swiss movements many years ago. According to the brand, the current JJ01 module is more reliable and precise than that of 2011.
