Christopher Wilson Jr., a 17-year-old Yorktown High School student, was found dead inside a vehicle in the 1400 block of East Cromer Avenue, according to Muncie Deputy Police Chief Melissa Criswell. The news was first reported by The Star Press, part of the USA TODAY Network.

His family has given us permission to share this news,” Brewer wrote. “Chris was a valued member of our school, our football team and our community. Our thoughts are with his family, friends and teammates. Muncie Police are investigating and Yorktown Police have confirmed there is no threat to our students or schools.
