Mafia 3 and all its associated DLC are currently available for free on the PS Store in several countries, without PS Plus required. You can get it here.

Fans have also noticed that Call of Duty: WWII is also available at no additional cost in several countries, which we were able to corroborate. You can also claim it here.

Many of you in the UK as well as various European countries will be able to enjoy Activision and 2K Games Getaways for free, although it’s unclear if this is an error and will be revoked.

In the US, it appears Mafia 3 is still priced at $29.99, although you can also get all of the version’s DLC for free. It might be worth adding them to your catalog if you ever pick up the game again.

Call of Duty: WWII is unfortunately releasing at full price, $59.99, in the United States, so our American friends may be out of luck.

I will continue to monitor this situation to see if this is an error or a real promotion; I lean toward the latter, but sometimes Sony honors claimed titles this way.

Assuming this is an error, you’ll need to be quick, as I imagine this will be fixed fairly quickly.

Mafia 3 received a somewhat harsh reception upon its release, but I personally really appreciated its documentary-inspired presentation method and its intoxicating sense of place. I definitely recommend it – especially for free.

Meanwhile, we’ve described Call of Duty: WWII as a “safe” but “solid” historical shooter. Again, worth the detour.
