Daimler accuses former Oregon employee of embezzling millions for vacation, Uber Eats
HILLSBORO, Ore. (KPTV) – Daimler Truck North America is suing a former employee, accusing him of embezzling millions of dollars for vacations, food delivery orders and more.
In a lawsuit filed last week, Daimler Truck accused a high-ranking supervisor, Terry Watson, of using a credit card, fuel cards and other company assets to spend more than $3.8 million of the company’s money. The lawsuit names Watson’s wife, Krystal, as a defendant.
The lawsuit says Watson and his wife used the money to pay personal expenses for more than five years. Expenses included “fees from law firms and real estate agencies; schools, preschool and after-school care services; vacations to Legoland, Las Vegas and Europe; spas and sports clubs; cleaning and home organization services,” according to the lawsuit.
The lawsuit claims the couple also used the money to pay for almost daily purchases on Uber Eats.
Watson allegedly hired contractors for the construction and landscaping of his Hillsboro home and asked the sellers to “bill his office” at Daimler for the work, according to the lawsuit.
Daimler says it discovered the embezzlement scheme in November 2025 and fired Watson.
The company is suing the Watsons for $6.5 million in damages and legal fees.
