The Miami Dolphins will take on the New York Giants on Saturday afternoon at Hard Rock Stadium in their second preseason game under new head coach Jeff Hafley.
However, hours before the game, the Dolphins made a move, announcing that they’ve released veteran cornerback Nick McCloud.

McCloud, 28, played at NC State and Notre Dame before going undrafted in 2021. He had stints with the Buffalo Bills, Cincinnati Bengals, New York Giants, San Francisco 49ers and Chicago Bears before joining the Dolphins earlier this month.
In last week’s battle with the Commanders, McCloud recorded just one tackle, which came in the fourth quarter.
Now, Miami will go into this game against the Giants with Chris Johnson, Jason Marshall Jr., Ethan Bonner, A.J. Green III, Marco Wilson, Miles Battle, Alex Austin and Ahmari Harvey at the position, with Storm Duck and Darrell Baker Jr. still on PUP and JuJu Brents recovering from an injury.
