Tuesday July 21, for the tenth consecutive night, American airstrikes against several sites on the southern coast of Iran continued, while Tehran continued to retaliate by targeting American bases in the region. At dawn, the Iranian army announced that it had launched a new wave of operations against Kuwait, claiming to have targeted « Himars missile systems (…) of the American terrorist army stationed on the Arifjan base » with surface-to-surface missiles. The Himars is an advanced high-mobility rocket launcher system used by U.S. forces.

For its part, the American military command for the Middle East (CentCom) claimed to have initiated, on the orders of American President Donald Trump, a new series of strikes against objectives located in Iran, aimed, according to Washington, at reducing Iranian military capabilities used to threaten commercial maritime traffic in the Strait of Hormuz.

During the night from Monday to Tuesday, Iranian media reported that several explosions had been heard in the city of Shiraz, in the south of the country, without further details on the extent of the possible damage. At the same time, numerous testimonies posted on social networks reported explosions in Bandar-e Abbas, Chabahar, Konarak, on the island of Qechm, as well as in several other localities in southern Iran.
