Comments Off on Fantasy Football Week 4 Early Waiver Wire Pickups: Ollie Gordon II and Braelon Allen lead after injuries to De’Von Achane and Breece Hall

As we move further into the 2026 fantasy football season, viable options outside of the waiver wire are going to get pretty slim. Injuries are going to pave the way for most top players, and heading into Week 4, that’s precisely the case. We are here to give you a head start and prepare you to develop your waiver plans. Below are some early items from the waiver wire to consider as we approach the end of Week 3.

Ollie Gordon II, RB, Dolphins (2% listed on Yahoo)

The Dolphins are on track to be one of the worst teams in the NFL this season. That’s not to say they can’t have at least a few viable fantasy football options. Perhaps the only one was RB De’Von Achane, who was knocked out in the first quarter against the Chiefs in Week 3 with a knee injury. Initial comments from Dolphins coach Jeff Hafley suggest it could be a serious injury for Achane. If that’s the case, we know Gordon’s role will increase significantly.

After Achane left the contest, Gordon immediately scored a touchdown on what was one of Miami’s best drives of the season. He ended up finishing the game with 17 carries for 41 yards and a touchdown (3 catches, 14 yards) for 13.4 fantasy points. Gordon was forced out late in the match due to cramping, but was able to return.

If Achane is sidelined, Gordon becomes one of the top additions for Week 4 and would provide RB3/flex value with upside potential. The Dolphins may not be in many positive play scripts, but Gordon would still be in line for many snaps/touches. Jaylen Wright was inactive in Week 3 and DJ Herman probably wouldn’t command many (if any) hits.

Braelon Allen, RB, Jets (18% on roster)

Speaking of injured RB1s, Breece Hall had to start in the second half against the Lions after being tackled awkwardly and was ruled out with a thigh injury. This type of injury doesn’t mean a long-term absence, but we need to get more information on Hall.

Braelon Allen is the Jets’ next man in the backfield and we know he can make a play when called upon. A few seasons ago, he totaled 334 rushing yards, 19 catches for 148 yards and three touchdowns as a rookie. If Hall is out, Allen should take over with Isaiah Davis. The Jets face the Bears and Browns in the coming weeks, and if Hall sits, Allen would be a RB2/3 in PPR formats.

Kenyon Sadiq, TE, Jets (17% registered)

Few rookies have made a big impact in 2026 so far, but Sadiq could play a solid role in this improved Jets offense. Sadiq scored his second career TD, and first as a receiver, in Week 3 against the Lions. He would finish the game with seven receptions for 105 yards and the TD for 20 fantasy points.

Geno Smith looks great behind this revamped offensive line. There are more mouths to feed than expected in New York, but Sadiq could develop chemistry with the veteran QB while WRs Omar Cooper Jr. and Adonai Mitchell are sidelined. Garrett Wilson left late in the game after taking a big hit, but was cleared after being evaluated for a concussion.

We’re almost at the start of the bye weeks (Week 5), so Sadiq isn’t a bad addition if you need depth at tight end or a streaming option with TE1 upside.
