Epic has confirmed that Five Nights at Freddy’s will be joining Fortnite for this year’s Fortnitemares event.
After months of rumors and teases, a new trailer officially confirms that Freddy Fazbear’s Pizzeria will appear as a location on the map, with Freddy, Bonnie, Chica, and Foxy as bosses that players can face in battle.
“It’s almost show time!” Epic announced. “The Fazbear Band has taken over Battle Royale. Face the animatronic animal bosses and survive the night… if you can. Fortnitemares starts October 1st!”
The crossover has been anticipated for some time, with the pizzeria itself appearing on the island during Fortnite’s Override season, and recent Fortnitemares hinting at security cameras and FNAF dialogue.
The annual spooky Fortnitemares 2026 begins on October 1.
Over the summer, Epic Games settled a lawsuit against a contractor accused of leaking information about Fortnite. Former contractor Hayden Cohen agreed to a judgment that prohibits them from “possessing, accessing, using or disclosing any confidential information or trade secrets of Epic,” including a ban on also providing confidential information to other third parties.
