Georgie Cooper is about to come face to face with an old flame.

“Georgie and Mandy’s First Marriage” brings back Ava Allan as Jana Boggs, Georgie’s former girlfriend from “Young Sheldon.” Emily Osment, who plays Georgie’s wife Mandy, shared a behind-the-scenes photo revealing Allan’s return – and, perhaps more intriguingly, showing Mandy and Jana sitting together.

“Well THIS can’t be good,” Osment teased in his Instagram caption.

TVLine can confirm that Allan will guest star on Season 3, Episode 9, airing Thursday, December 10. A synopsis is not yet available.

Allan appeared in nine episodes of “Young Sheldon” during seasons 3 to 5, during which Jana was Georgie’s primary girlfriend before meeting Mandy.

Their relationship included a pregnancy scare in Season 4, Episode 5, “A Moldy Crypt and a Pee Stick”, which ultimately turned out to be a false alarm. It was an ironic precursor to Georgie’s eventual fatherhood, even if it wasn’t the one the writers intended.

“We had absolutely no idea Georgie would become a dad at the time,” executive producer Steve Holland reveals in the Jessica Radloff-written oral history “Young Sheldon: The (Juicier-Than-Meemaw’s-Brisket) Inside Story of the Hit Comedy.” “So, lucky chance, but not foreshadowing.”

Jana and Georgie’s relationship ultimately ended after he announced his decision to drop out of high school in Season 5, Episode 3. Soon after, he met Mandy, whose unexpected pregnancy led to the birth of their daughter, CeeCee, and their eventual (first) marriage.

“Georgie & Mandy’s First Marriage” airs Thursdays at 8 p.m. on CBS and streams the next day on Paramount+. (Seasons 1 and 2 are available to binge on HBO Max.)
