Heidi Klum makes rare mother-daughter appearance with Lou Samuel, 16

Like mother, like daughter: Heidi Klum’s youngest child, Lou Sulola Samuel, just made her Paris Fashion Week debut. Accompanying her mother on a trip to the fashion capital, the teenager, who turns 17 in a few days, was seen matching Klum’s sartorial energy at the Vivienne Westwood Spring/Summer 2027 show and, later, at the BOF 500 gala.

The double whammy of events resulted in rare appearances by Samuel, who kept a fairly private life despite his parents being exposed to the public. (Of course, she made a few exceptions, including for her mother’s annual Halloween party and her father Seal’s premiere in Los Angeles in 2024. Clarence’s book.)

The mother-daughter duo coordinated for both October 3 releases, starting with Westwood peplums and then transitioning into voluminous minis. First, for creative director Andreas Kronthaler’s presentation, Samuel chose a printed denim corset and matching mini skirt, while Klum wore a white blazer with a draped shawl collar and a long maxi skirt. The two guests in the front row finished it off with platform pumps.

For their party looks, the 16-year-old kept things family Westwood with a white, off-the-shoulder silk satin mini dress, while her mom donned a red leather Saint Laurent Spring 2018 ensemble. The model’s look included a dramatic, sculptural strapless bodice covered in silver studs and a fiery mini skirt with an irregular hem.

THE Project track The judge has long instilled personal style in her children, having revealed that the “number one” rule in her house is to “always look cool”. As for rule number two? “Remember rule number one.”

Klum shares Samuel, along with her three siblings, Leni Klum, Henry Samuel and John Samuel, with her ex-husband Seal, to whom she was married from 2005 to 2014. Her current husband, Tom Kaulitz, also plays a big role in raising the children and reportedly even asked their permission before proposing to their mother in 2018.
