Human remains found in Portland for second time in a week, PPB says
PORTLAND Oregon (KPTV) – Police say human remains were found Monday afternoon at another homeless camp in Portland.
According to Portland Police, officers were called to the area of West Burnside Street and I-405 around 12:40 p.m. after a crew cleaning up homeless encampments reportedly found human remains.
A couple who frequents the area told FOX 12 they started noticing a foul odor coming from the fenced area last Tuesday. They said they reported to PPB last Thursday that they suspected something was dead.
FOX 12 asked PPB about their response.

Police suspect the remains may be linked to those found in a trash bag near SW Harvey Milk and SW Naito Parkway less than a week ago.
Although investigators believe it is a single victim, confirmation from the medical examiner’s office is still needed.
Anyone with information is asked to contact homicidetips@police.portlandoregon.gov and reference case number 26-304859.
