Inactive Eagles-Cowboys: Saquon Barkley will play
The Philadelphia Eagles have officially announced the inactive list for their Week 7 game against the Dallas Cowboys.
The following Eagles players WILL NOT PLAY: DeVonta Smith, Dontayvion Wicks, Nolan Smith, Michael Carter II, Jake Majors and Cole Payton.
Notably, Saquon Barkley is ACTIVE despite being listed as questionable on the final injury report. However, it doesn’t seem like he’s 100%.
DeVonta Smith, Wicks, Nolan Smith and Carter II were all left out of Philly’s final injury report.
No DeVonta and no Wicks means the following five receivers are active for the Eagles: Makai Lemon, Darius Cooper, Elijah Moore, Hollywood Brown and Britain Covey. It will be interesting to see if Lemon, the Eagles’ first-round pick in the 2026 NFL Draft, can step up with more opportunities expected to come his way. We might also see Cooper continue to blink. Moore was ahead of Brown on the depth chart last week, with the latter being a good scratch. Covey will likely be limited to return duty.
At Edge Rusher, Jalyx Hunt and Jonathan Greenard are notably ACTIVE although it is considered doubtful to play. The Eagles temporarily elevated Keyshawn James-Newby for added depth.
The Majors are a good scratch now that Landon Dickerson and Drew Kendall are back on the field.
Payton is the third emergency quarterback. This is different from last week, when Joe Milton III was newly added to the team.
