
Japan increases permanent residency fees for foreign nationals twentyfold
Starting in April next year, applicants for permanent residency will face even stricter requirements, including basic command of the Japanese language. This led to an increase in enrollment at Japanese language schools as well as the number of people signing up for the Japanese language proficiency test, local media reported.
