The Kennedy Center Honors will be held at a separate location, the institution announced Friday, amid a legal battle over whether the president Donald Trump can close the center while giving it its name.
The awards will move to Capital One Arena, a roughly 20,000-seat facility that is home to the NHL’s Washington Capitals and the NBA’s Washington Wizards. They will take place at the beginning of December.
