Landman begins production on the third season.
Primordial
The last time viewers saw Tommy Norris, Thornton’s oil fixer, the future seemed brighter compared to the end of the first season. Tommy was visited again by the (metaphorical) coyote as he, his family and his tight-knit team set out to launch their own oil company, CTT Oil Exploration and Cattle, after Tommy made a dangerous deal with cartel leader Gallino (Garcia).
Thornton has been open about his long-term vision for Landman. The drama set in West Texas broke viewership records to become a surefire hit for the streamer. Although hit series creator Sheridan has reached a deal to move its prolific television production to NBCUniversal starting in 2028, Thornton said the vision for many seasons of Landman remains stable.
Co-created by Sheridan and Wallace, and set in the boomtowns of West Texas, Landman is a modern story of the quest for fortune among thugs and wildcat billionaires – fueling an oil boom so big that it is reshaping the climate, the economy and geopolitics.
Landman is produced by Paramount Television Studios, 101 Studios and Sheridan’s Bosque Ranch Productions. Sheridan, David C. Glasser, David Hutkin, Ron Burkle, Bob Yari, Wallace, Thornton, Geyer Kosinski, Michael Friedman and Stephen Kay, as well as Dan Friedkin and Jason Hoch for Imperative Entertainment, and JK Nickell and Megan Creydt for Texas Monthlyare executive producers.
