Lula facing Flavio Bolsonaro: kickoff of the presidential campaign in Brazil

Left-wing Brazilian President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva and his right-wing rival Flavio Bolsonaro launched their campaign for the October presidential election on Sunday. At 80, Lula gave a meeting in Sao Bernardo do Campo, in the state of Sao Paulo (southeast), where the metalworker had become a national figure by addressing huge crowds in the 1970s. Senator Flavio Bolsonaro gathered his supporters on Copacabana beach in Rio de Janeiro.
