PLYMOUTH, Mass. — The lone holdout juror who defied 11 others in maintaining his belief that former Massachusetts nurse Lindsay Clancy was guilty of murder before the mistrial earlier this month made his most direct public remarks — speaking unmediated for the first time.
Michael Desronvil, who is believed to be hiding in an undisclosed location, told tktk.
“I know all the attention has been on me, but we want to bring it all back and focus on the three angels,” he said in a video statement aired exclusively on Fox News’ “Hannity” Monday night. “Those who can’t speak for themselves, those who can’t defend themselves, and those who can’t fight battles – and those are Cora, Dawson, and Callan.”

He also spoke briefly about himself.
“I want to thank God for my Catholic faith,” he said softly. “I want to thank God for giving me the ability to love my daughter. And most of all, I would like to thank everyone, every individual, who has supported me throughout this difficult situation.”
He had released earlier statements through his attorney, Edward Paltzik, and in remarks to YouTuber Ray Marcel, who broadcasts under the screen name FugitiveTV — primarily defending himself against allegations made by several other jurors.
In a series of interviews after the Sept. 4 mistrial, Desronvil was accused of wanting to find Clancy guilty despite his own reasonable doubts about the prosecution’s case. He denied these claims.

He also defended his client against a local report of previous domestic violence allegations against him.

“Every allegation against Michael is false, fabricated, never happened, categorically false,” he said. “It just didn’t happen.”

Yet a war of words is escalating between Paltzik and Clancy’s defense attorney, Kevin Reddington, who has dubbed the holdout “the obstructionist juror” and asked the court to open an investigation into allegations from other jurors who say he refused to uphold the law in the deliberation room.

Clancy is due back in court Tuesday for a status conference. Prosecutors are expected to provide an update on their plans for a new trial, and Clancy’s defense also filed motions seeking to dismiss the charges and request an investigation into other jurors’ allegations against Desronvil.
