Minnesota plans massive early voting as Election Day approaches
Minnesota was blown away by early voting numbers for the midterm elections.
Nearly 729,000 people have already voted in person, absentee or by mail as of Friday morning, according to data from the Minnesota Secretary of State’s office. This is considerably more than any other non-presidential election in Minnesota.
The state could reach or exceed 1 million votes before Election Day given the number of absentee ballots requested and the fact that in-person polling locations will be open this weekend and Monday.
On Election Day, regular polling stations open at 7 a.m. and any eligible voter in line at 8 p.m. will be able to vote.
