Amazon may be preparing a new version of its entry-level Kindle. Leaked marketing images show an e-reader that looks like the 2024 model but with flatter edges, rounded display corners, and a power button on its right side.
The images, shared by leaker Roland Quandt, show the device in several pastel colors. The Kindle name appears below the screen and on the back, but the smiling Amazon logo is missing from the images.
The power button is another visible change. Rather than being on the bottom edge, as it is on the current entry-level Kindle, it appears at the top of the right side of the new device.
The leaked images appear to show two slightly different models. In some cases, the screen appears almost flush with the front of the player and has a more pronounced border. In others, he seems more withdrawn. The sample text also differs in size and spacing.
These differences do not confirm that Amazon intends to release two models. Images may depict distinct variations, but they may also show preliminary designs or marketing materials that will be modified before launch.
Images of new cases for a Kids version have also surfaced. As of now, Amazon has not announced the e-reader, and its specifications, price, and release date remain unknown.
