Nscale and Anthropic reportedly in talks for another $45 billion compute deal
Just over a month ago, Anthropic and AI infrastructure provider Nscale announced a $45 billion compute deal. Now, the duo may be about to do it again.
Bloomberg reports that the two companies are close to announcing a new $45 billion IT deal, citing people familiar with the matter. These sources warned that negotiations were still ongoing and that details could change.
If the deal goes through, it would be the latest in a long line of giant IT deals Anthropic has made over the past year. TechCrunch has contacted Nscale and Anthropic for more information and will update this story if we receive a response.
The massive sums invested in AI computing operations have spooked a certain segment of investors, who fear that companies are spending too much money for too little profit. Yet Anthropic has pursued such partnerships, driven by the belief that it will all pay off in the end.
Anthropic and Nscale are also currently pursuing IPOs. Anthropic is still expected to go public this year. Nscale is also seeking to go public, although Bloomberg reported Monday that the company was facing investor pushback over its proposed $30 billion valuation.
