NYCC 2026: Marvel reveals terrifying new designs for X-Men, Midnight Doctor Octopus and more • AIPT
Marvel’s Midnight Universe is officially here, and the House of Ideas is raising the curtain on its terrifying new world at New York Comic Con 2026. Marvel Comics: The Midnight Hour panel, fans got a closer look at dark new takes on Marvel’s most iconic heroes, with new artwork, character designs and story details for Midnight X-Men, Midnight Fantastic FourAnd Midnight Spider-Man.
Among the biggest reveals were RB Silva’s new creations for the Midnight X-Men, including a bat-like beast, a grotesque crystalline Iceman, and a Magik who bears a striking resemblance to Anya Taylor-Joy. Fans also got their first look at Midnight Universe’s Doctor Octopus, who debuts in Midnight Spider-Man #2 in November.
Marvel also revealed new details about the fourth January issues, teasing a mysterious cosmic artifact affecting the Fantastic Four, a growing conspiracy around the world. Midnight X-Menand the birth of a second synthetic mutant in Midnight Spider-Man.
With the first issues hitting comic book stores earlier this week, the panel offered a first look at how strange and disturbing the Midnight Universe is about to get.
