
One dead, one injured in South Seattle nightclub shooting
SEATTLE — Detectives are investigating a drive-by shooting in South Seattle that killed a 36-year-old man and injured a 27-year-old woman early Sunday morning.
According to Seattle police, shortly before 1 a.m. Sunday morning, several people began calling 911 about a shooting in the 5800 block of 4th Avenue South.
Officers went to the club and found the man, who was providing security at the nightclub, already dead.
The woman was found with a gunshot wound to her leg. Officers rendered aid to the woman until medics from the Seattle Fire Department arrived. The woman was transported to Harborview Medical Center in serious condition.
Seattle police said a vehicle drove into the club’s parking lot and the driver fired several shots from the vehicle. The suspect vehicle then left the club and was found on fire in South Seattle.
