A new step has just been taken locally in the senatorial race. At the end of the afternoon this Friday, July 24, the territorial branch of France Insoumise (LFI) announced a candidacy in the department. Which follows a first candidacy made official a month ago (last Friday June 26), that of Cédric Perrin (LR), former mayor of Beaucourt and senator of the Territoire de Belfort since 2014. In these upcoming senatorial elections in the Territoire de Belfort, the territorial rebels have chosen Caroline Dewit as their candidate to oppose the outgoing senator. “After its historic breakthrough in the municipal elections with hundreds of elected officials in the communes and intercommunalities, France Insoumise is entering the senatorial elections with the objective of making its entry into the upper house,” indicates France Insoumise Terrifortaine this Friday in its press release before adding: “It is thus present in all the departments concerned by the election on September 27. »
In this context, in the Territory, the electoral committee of France Insoumise validated the pair composed of the titular candidate Caroline Dewit and the substitute candidate, her running mate, Fred Beau, “who carry the program of rupture of the New Popular Front”. The first lives in Belfort and works as a teacher. The second lives a few kilometers from the Lion City, near Buc, and is also a teacher.
