‘Smallville’ Star Tom Welling Accidentally Exposes Himself in Hotel Window Reflection
That’s not really Clark Kent of him.
“Smallville” star Tom Welling accidentally exposed himself in the reflection of his hotel room window while staying in New York.
The actor, who played the future Man of Steel on the hit WB/CW series, posted a photo of the view from his hotel room on his Instagram Stories on Friday with the caption, “Hello, NYCC,” referencing New York Comic Con.
But fans quickly noticed that skyscrapers weren’t the only things on display.
The photo remained on Welling’s account for at least 10 hours before being deleted, according to Just Jared, but screenshots of the NSFW image quickly spread across social media.
A representative for Welling did not immediately respond to Page Six’s request for comment.
The “Cheaper by the Dozen” actor, 49, is in the Big Apple this weekend as a guest at New York Comic Con, where the “Smallville” cast is expected to reunite ahead of the show’s 25th anniversary on Oct. 16.
“Smallville” premiered on the WB in 2001 and ran for 10 seasons before ending on the CW in May 2011.
The series followed the life of Clark Kent before he became Superman, starring Welling alongside Michael Rosenbaum as Lex Luthor, Kristin Kreuk as Lana Lang, and Erica Durance as Lois Lane.
In January, Welling opened up about her decision to leave Los Angeles during the COVID-19 pandemic.
He and his wife, Jessica Rose Lee, moved to a small town in Northern California in 2020 with their son, Thomson Wylde, whom they welcomed in January 2019.
The couple married in November of the same year. Welling, for his part, was married to model Jamie White from 2002 to 2015.
“LA was wild back then,” Welling said. “There were no cars on the street. We couldn’t go anywhere.”
“People were not leaving their homes,” he continued. “Our first son was starting to crawl, and we only had this little game that he could play on. We thought about it, we don’t know if we can still be here.”
The “Lucifer” actor said he always knew he wanted to eventually leave Los Angeles, but the move came sooner than expected after visiting family in Northern California and falling in love with a ranch in the area.
“No one bothers you in a small town,” Welling said. “Everyone is famous in a small town.”
