The 49ers have 2 new additions to Wednesday’s injury report
The following players will not practice Wednesday, according to San Francisco 49ers head coach Kyle Shanahan.
DT James Thompson Jr. (ankle)
DE Nick Bosa (calf)
WR Mike Evans (ribs)
LB Dre Greenlaw (quad)
LT Trent Williams (neck)
DE Keion White (hamstring)
RB Christian McCaffrey (vet day)
WR KhaDarel Hodge (knee)
DE Romello Height (hand)
DE Mykel Williams (knee)
Williams is scheduled to sit out Week 4, but is eligible to return in Week 5 against the Seahawks.
Shanahan said, “I hope not,” when asked if White’s injury would keep him out of Sunday’s game.
He also said the team is “excited” that Dante Pettis is available, given the rash of injuries at wide receiver. Shanahan said Brandin Cooks took over the offense “very quickly” last week and thinks it will be easier this week.
Evans “might” practice later in the week, but Shanahan wouldn’t commit to anything else.
It’s Mykel’s first day in a year, so he won’t be going full speed, according to Shanahan. There are no updates on running back Isaac Guerendo, who was also placed on the PUP.
Greenlaw is another “hopeful” candidate to return to training later in the week. It’s a revenge match for Dre after a year-long stint in Denver, but Shanahan said Greenlaw has the same excitement every week, regardless of his opponent.
