Crude oil is flowing through the Strait of Hormuz at a rate that is starting to approach pre-war levels, a notable rebound for the world’s most critical oil chokepoint.

This restored flow is primarily the result of Iran’s somewhat reduced military capacity and a U.S. Navy operation that secured part of the waterway for relatively safe passage.
