Meghan Markle’s father, Thomas Markle Sr., is reportedly being investigated over “hundreds, if not thousands” of child sexual abuse images allegedly found in his Philippines home.
Thomas Sr.’s son, Thomas Jr., allegedly found the documents in several boxes and turned them over to police, according to the Sun’s explosive report.
An insider close to the Duchess of Sussex told the outlet: “Now maybe people will finally understand why she hasn’t had anything to do with her father since 2018.”
Thomas Sr. and Thomas Jr. did not immediately respond to Page Six’s requests for comment. Representatives for Meghan and Harry have not responded to us.
According to the media outlet, authorities are preparing to seize the alleged evidence in Cebu.
Thomas Sr, 82, left his home in May for the United States following a stroke that led to a blood clot and the amputation of his left leg.
He allegedly left the images in storage boxes buried among family “memorabilia” that Thomas Jr., 60, found while searching for a phone.
According to the Sun, Thomas Jr. has contacted the FBI and an investigation in the United States is also about to be launched.
After submitting his affidavit to Philippine authorities on Thursday, Thomas Jr. told the outlet, “When I found this document, I was horrified and had no choice but to report my father.”
He added that although he has “supported, cared for” and helped “his father” for years, it “stops now.”
“I will never speak to my father again unless I am called to testify against him,” Thomas Jr. said.
Thomas Jr. reportedly told his friends that he found a 15-minute video of girls undressed on an abandoned LG cell phone while he was looking for a phone for his girlfriend’s father, and was “shocked and disgusted,” according to the outlet.
The victims are said to be “no more than 10 or 11 years old” and were seen performing “sexual acts” in the video, alongside three illicit photos of girls of the same age. An alleged image was taken on a laptop screen, according to the outlet, and Thomas Jr. recognized Thomas Sr.’s former residence in Rosarita, Mexico.
Thomas Jr. was reportedly left in a “trembling wreck” after finding the alleged footage, reportedly telling a friend: “What I saw made me sick to my stomach – it was all thrown at me and I didn’t know what to do.”
Thomas Jr. was quoted as saying, “I knew right away that it was highly illegal and would land me in jail for a long time if I didn’t get rid of it. I felt betrayed, angry and disgusted – and I realized I had to report it.”
According to the outlet, Thomas Jr. reported the alleged discovery to the FBI hotline, the Pennsylvania State Police – where Thomas Sr. lived – and the National Center for Exploited and Missing Children on July 10.
Having received no follow-up communication, Thomas Jr. requested assistance in removing four cardboard boxes and investigating the contents of three hard drives.
Thomas Jr.’s pal reportedly told the outlet that he was told there was an “incredible amount of stuff,” including “old family movies on VHS tapes, books” and nine cell phones, as well as “the Emmy Awards he won for his work in television.”
The person also said Thomas Jr. allegedly said there were “a lot more disturbing items” that he had “never seen before” — including “old books that turned out to be filled with naked little girls.”
After a technician hired to help with the hard drives discovered other alleged items, Thomas Jr. reportedly “gasped when all the icons suddenly appeared.”
Thomas Jr. was quoted as saying, “His office was filled with rows of miniature photos depicting the most sickening child abuse imaginable. The worst of the worst. »
