Toyota unveils five new and improved Woodland concepts, including an electric vehicle

Toyota has introduced a new family of lifted, “adventure-ready” Woodland concepts, based on the RAV4, Grand Highlander, Sienna, Crown Signia and bZ electric SUVs.
Toyota extends Woodland badge to new models
Toyota is the latest automaker to tackle the highly profitable off-road market in the United States, with plans to expand its “Woodland” line.
Although it already sells Woodland versions of the RAV4, Sienna, bZ and, most recently, the Grand Highlander, Toyota said the new family of concept vehicles is “designed for drivers who see adventure not as a destination, but as a way of life.”
Toyota’s North American design studio, CALTY Design Research, designed the concepts to explore how some of its most popular nameplates can be better used on and off the road.
Each vehicle features Horizon Blue exterior paint, inspired by 1960s Toyota models including the Stout, Crown and Corona.
All new concepts also include an exclusive Woodland badge, as well as a lift kit, large fenders, satin black wheels, all-terrain tires, two-tone paint on the roof and hood, a roof rack and crossbars to top it all off.

According to Toyota, the RAV4 Woodland Plug-In Hybrid and Sienna Woodland Concepts show how its “electrified, family-oriented vehicles are taking on a more adventurous role.”
The Woodland bZ electric concept “extends the Woodland theme into Toyota’s battery-electric future.” Meanwhile, the Grand Highlander Woodland Concept and Crown Signia Woodland Concept bring two distinct models to the lineup, Toyota said.
The company didn’t reveal any powertrain specifications or other details, but said the concepts show how the capability can take many forms, including PHEV, hybrid and battery electric.
Toyota’s new Woodland Concepts will be on display at the 2026 SEMA Show, starting November 3.
To give you an idea, the 2027 Toyota bZ Woodland comes standard with a dual-motor all-wheel drive (AWD) powertrain, developing a combined 375 horsepower. That’s an extra 37 hp over the standard all-wheel-drive bZ.
The bZ Woodland also adds off-road capability with 8.3 inches of ground clearance and the ability to tow up to 3,500 lbs.
Other rugged upgrades include all-terrain tires, black side moldings, roof rails and black wheel arch cladding.
The 2027 Toyota bZ Woodland is available in Base and Premium trims, starting at $45,380, more than $10,000 more than the standard bZ.
