Tyler Cameron and his fiancée Tate Madden will become parents.
THE Bachelor the 33-year-old alumnus and the 33-year-old interior designer are expecting their first baby together. The couple revealed the news during Dancing with the stars‘ Signing evening on Tuesday October 22. Cameron and professional partner Sharna Burgess performed a contemporary routine to Ed Sheeran’s “Supermarket Flowers” and dedicated the dance to mothers everywhere.
During the live show, they discovered they were expecting a baby girl after their dance. Cameron said: “I’m going to be a girl dad. What a gift, what an opportunity.”
Cameron and Madden tell PEOPLE they are “so excited” to expand their family. “It’s going to change everything in our lives,” Cameron says. “Our parents gave us a beautiful life, and I want us to give this little baby an even more beautiful life. Everything we learn from our families (I want) to make the most of it and instill it in our children.”

He adds, “(Our child) is someone I love and help grow. I’m excited. Being a parent is the most important job in the world.”
The couple says they found out about Madden’s pregnancy shortly after their engagement earlier this year. “The night we got home from our engagement, I took the (pregnancy) test,” Madden says. After seeing the positive result, she went to Cameron and said, “You are not going to believe this. »

At the time, Cameron and Madden said they knew they would end up together and adopted the “whatever happens, happens” mentality. And “it happened very quickly,” Madden says.

Shortly after, the couple moved to Los Angeles, while Cameron left to appear on season 35 of Dancing with the stars. “We’ve been in a whirlwind since we found out,” Cameron said, adding that his busy rehearsal schedule caused him to miss Madden’s ultrasound.
“Tate brought me a photo of the ultrasound in New York when I finally got to see her again,” he says. “Seeing that picture, it was really, really real to me. Like, ‘Oh my God, we’re doing this. We’re having a baby.’ It was just an incredible moment.”

Besides telling a small group of friends and family, Cameron and Madden kept the news of their pregnancy a secret, hoping that Cameron would manage to Dancing with the stars‘ “Dedication Night” so they could announce the news publicly.
“We thought it would be a really amazing way to reveal the baby and celebrate the baby,” Cameron said, adding that her dance would honor mothers around the world, including her late mother Andrea, who died in March 2020.
“I want to dedicate it (to mothers) because they are so important. Everyone needs their mom. Moms are what make this world go round,” he says. “I lost my mother and my mother would have loved Tate. All the best things about my mother I found in Tate.”
Cameron says he knows Tate will be the “most amazing” mother, and Madden says she can’t wait to see how much their child will love her. “He connects with kids who aren’t even his,” she says. “Imagine what their relationship would be like.”
The couple met in 2022 while Cameron was filming his home improvement show, Coming Home with Tyler Cameronon which Madden worked as a photographer. The TV personality kicked off her relationship with Madden hard by posting a video of the pair dancing on Instagram in September 2024.
On August 15, the couple announced their engagement in a joint Instagram post, featuring photos of Cameron’s proposal on the beach at Little Palm Island in Florida. “Better late than never,” Cameron captioned the post.
With their baby on the way, Cameron and Madden decided to commit for the long term and put no pressure on wedding planning. “I decided I’m not going to stress myself out and I’m just going to focus on one thing at a time,” Madden said.
For now, the couple’s focus is on Cameron. Dancing with the stars travel and prepare their baby. “We need to make this house baby-proof and baby-ready,” Cameron says. “We need to build a nursery. All the things we’re really passionate about.”
