James Trafford: Made a good save in the second half. Trafford were very calm with the ball at their feet and showed their range of passing which pleased Tuchel throughout. 6
Trent Alexander-Arnold: Started his first match against England in almost two years. Not much to do defensively but had a superb ball for England’s opener. 7
Trevoh Chalobah: A shaky start from the centre-back who repeatedly lost possession and lost in challenges which frustrated manager Thomas Tuchel. But Chalobah settled in and kept England clean against the 10-man Czech Republic. 6
Marc Guéhi: Guehi’s usual reliable performance. England didn’t have much to defend but he made some important blocks. 6
Lewis Room: The left-back combined well with Anthony Gordon and provided a good outlet for England. Hall was a threat going forward and should have scored in the second half. 7
Elliot Anderson: He dominated midfield, kept the ball for England and won possession the few times the Czech Republic ventured forward. A mature performance. 7
Myles Lewis-Skelly: He started the match well and was given a lot of responsibility in England’s build-up play. However, Lewis-Skelly was booked for a poorly timed tackle and then taken off at half-time. 6
Morgan Rogers: Played Bukayo Saka with a nice pass early on and hit the post twice. Not much room for a Czech team which defended very deep. 6
Bukayo Saka: Not much of note for Saka in what was a cagey match as England worked hard to break down the Czech defense before Gordon’s goal. 6
Antoine Gordon: A constant threat at the back and a dangerous cross in the first half that deserved to end in a goal. Scored the opener and continues to show why he’s becoming so important to the Three Lions. 8
Harry Kane: A quieter evening for Kane who dropped deep and went for the ball, but the England captain still scored with a good finish from inside the box in the second half. 7
