The highly anticipated Elizabeth Holmes documentary “You Can See Everything” received a surprise “R” rating for “some graphic nudity.”
According to FilmRatings.com, the upcoming documentary has also received a prohibitive rating from the Motion Picture Association (MPA) due to “language.”
Nathan Fielder’s film – which is due to hit theaters on October 16 – first gained attention after a teaser showed the disgraced Theranos founder directly denying the deception, wide-eyed, to a shocked Fielder.
In the clip, Holmes, 42, was just inches from Fielder’s face when she told him, “I’m not that person. I can promise you that. I don’t have anything to fool you about; of course, I’m not fooling you.”
Throughout the encounter, she holds Fielder’s gaze with preternatural intensity, refusing to blink while looking him straight in the eye and smiling.
“I engage with you as a human being,” she continued to the director. “Why should I cheat on you? I have no reason to do that.”
After Fielder said, “OK. Fine. OK, good conversation…Are you real right now?” she replies, “I’m still real.”
The exchange took place weeks before she was due to report to the federal prison camp in Bryan, Texas, in May 2023, where she is serving a continuing sentence for wire fraud and conspiracy.
On social media forums, netizens questioned the film’s new rating, with one person — directly referencing the trailer — joking: “Why should I fool you? I have no reason to do this… I’m slowly undressing.”
Another person on Reddit speculated, “I bet this will show her giving birth,” referring to Holmes’ second child she gave birth to before reporting to prison.
A third guessed: “Whenever the note has the warning ‘graphic nudity’, it’s most likely a man. This is very common in recent years.”
“I mean, it’s in the title,” another person joked.

The “Nathan for You” star moved with Holmes and his family to San Diego in 2023, where he sought to pull back the curtain on his life for the project.
