Woman cries over hair appointment after run-in, explained

Minor accidents often turn into viral moments on TikTok, as seen in a fender bender in Arizona in front of a Krispy Kreme. Video shows a woman crying after a collision because she was worried she would miss her hair appointment, according to Atlanta Black Star.

The clip shows a white driver reacting emotionally after apparently hitting a car driven by a black man who goes by @gwxxpo or Wayy online. Wayy remained calm throughout, even though the woman appeared to be refusing to hand over her insurance information and hyperventilating.

At one point, she went from talking about her hair appointment to mentioning Tyler, the Creator. She told Wayy that she thought the artist had a good album, but that she also found it creepy.

He allegedly continued to ask her for insurance and she kept saying she was scared.

When Wayy tried to push the insurance deal, the woman seemed totally lost. He asked her on camera: “What’s going on? That’s my insurance. I’m trying to get yours. Don’t you have insurance?” He also offered a way out by asking her if she had any cash on her so he could leave the scene.

She allegedly suggested going to an ATM, but Wayy refused and asked her what she had in her wallet. Her only response was “I’m scared” and she continued to cry. She also told him, “You scare me” during the exchange, although Wayy appeared unfazed throughout.

Wayy ultimately decided not to call the police and responded directly to the criticism. “Everyone was saying I should have called the police, but we wouldn’t have this masterpiece of a video,” Wayy wrote on TikTok. He also confirmed in a later comment that the meltdown was real after a viewer asked: “I’m crying. Is this a skit?”

Other viewers were more critical of his behavior. One top comment read: “Gun incompetence. Call the police,” while another user wrote: “She’s not scared, she’s caught.” However, a few commenters suggested that his reaction might have been genuine stress rather than performance.

The video appears to end with Wayy asking for his Venmo. It’s unclear whether she ever paid for collision damage or shared her insurance details, as the clip shows no follow-up from either driver.

Many drivers on the road are apparently not insured at all.

Wayy’s paperwork efforts follow standard advice from a fender bender, because insurers rely on those details to process a claim. AAA asks drivers to collect the other motorist’s name, license number, insurance company and policy number before leaving the scene. However, paying cash on the spot could leave an insurer with little if further damage occurs later.

Drivers in Wayy’s situation have a real chance of encountering an uninsured motorist, as the share of drivers without coverage has increased in recent years. About 15.4% of motorists were uninsured in 2023, according to Insurance Research Council figures cited by the National Association of Insurance Commissioners. The council’s 2025 report reveals one in three drivers were uninsured or underinsured.

Drivers hit by an uninsured motorist can often recover repair costs through their own uninsured motorist coverage, which some states require. Whether Wayy will file a claim regarding the fender bender or ever receive a Venmo payment has not been made public.
