The lawyer for the lone holdout juror in Lindsay Clancy’s murder trial is pushing back against claims that his client refused to follow the law, telling Fox News host Kayleigh McEnany that the juror had no doubt about his decision.
In a preview of an interview that aired Monday on “Fox & Friends,” McEnany asked attorney Edward Paltzik if juror Michael P. Desronvil ever had a reasonable doubt after the jury foreman sent the judge a note accusing him of refusing to follow the reasonable doubt law.
“Michael had no doubts,” Paltzik said.

“Zero doubt. Without a doubt, and he had evidence to support his position?” McEnany responded.
“A lot of evidence, a mountain of evidence,” Paltzik said.

Desronvil was the only holdout after seven days of deliberations in Clancy’s trial. Eleven jurors were prepared to find the former labor and delivery nurse not criminally responsible for killing her three children, while Desronvil awaited a conviction. Judge William Sullivan declared a mistrial on September 4.

Clancy admitted to killing Cora, 5, Dawson, 3, and Callan, 8 months, at the family’s home in Duxbury, Massachusetts, in January 2023. Her defense argued that postpartum psychosis did not make her criminally responsible. Prosecutors argued she understood what she was doing and planned the killings.

Desronvil later said he believed the physical evidence and testimony showed Clancy knew what she was doing. Prosecutors have not announced whether they will retry her. She is due back in court on September 29.
