Kirkland & Ellis is close to hiring Ramona Nee, co-managing partner of Weil Gotshal & Manges, alongside a team of about 20 others, according to several sources familiar with the negotiations.

Nee, who splits her time between Boston and New York, was set to take over as Weil’s CEO early next year, but she turned down the job a few weeks ago, ahead of last week’s decision to dissolve the company.
