A report Saturday said there would be no TV pool for the Tennessee trip, “meaning there will be no independent video of the events widely available.”
The White House did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
The move marks the latest development in Trump administration policy. ongoing fight with CNN, MS NOW and POLITICO on access to the president. Asset announced last week that it was barring the three White House news organizations, accusing them of repeatedly reporting “FAKE NEWS.”
CNN was also blocked from traveling on Air Force One when Asset traveled to New York for the United Nations General Assembly earlier this week. In response, the other four members of the five-network television network — ABC, CBS, NBC and Fox News — declined to take CNN’s place.
But a federal judge intervened Thursday morning and ordered the White House to immediately reinstate the press credentials of the three news outlets.
Saturday morning, Asset wrote on Truth Social“FAKE NEWS SHOULD NOT BE ALLOWED INTO THE WHITE HOUSE!!! IT’S LASTING FAR TOO LONG, AT A HUGE COST TO OUR COUNTRY.”
